AS ABOVE, SO BELOW
Visual Identity, Logo Design, Brand Activation
Developed in collaboration with faculty and students at Mason Gross School of the Arts, this visual identity for the 2026 BFA Design Class explores duality, community, and interconnected systems.
The identity translated this concept through gradients, mirrored forms, and layered digital-organic textures across print and digital applications. I was responsible for leading the project and designing key components of the identity system, establishing the core visual language.
In collaboration with Elliot Dong, Van Aileen, Yasmeen Allafi, Skye Jung, and Zion Lim.
“As Above, So Below “refers to the Hermetic principle that dictates the connection between the microcosm (the individual) and the macrocosm (universe). It emphasizes the importance of all things in relation to the functioning world.
Taking inspiration from mycelia: As fungi decompose all living matter, As Above, So Below suggests that we are physically, spiritually, and mentally intertwined with the universe itself.
Thinking of mycelium networks as a powerful metaphor for human connectivity.
A refined digital grid pattern reflecting organic matter and cellular networks.
Scalable & repeatable.
The final assets successfully combined aspects of community, movement, digital motifs, and organic ideas through several collaborative elements.
